A simple attic-and-yard checklist for the start of Oklahoma summer wildlife activity.
Listen for Timing
Fast daytime attic noise may point toward squirrels. Heavier nighttime movement may point toward raccoons. Chirping or fluttering close to dusk or dawn can suggest birds or bats.
Check Low Openings
Crawlspace doors, gaps below sheds, deck voids, and garage-door corners can become convenient shelter. Do not close an opening until you know nothing is inside.
Photograph the Pattern
If holes appear in the yard, photograph several of them with a familiar object for scale. The wider pattern is often more useful than one close-up.
