Give Snakes Space
Most Oklahoma snakes are nonvenomous, but an unknown snake should still be given room. Keep people and pets away, and do not move closer for a photograph.

Secure food, clean up pet dishes, repair garage-door seals, and organize storage. Reducing rodents also removes an important food source for snakes.
Read the Yard
Shallow cone-shaped holes, raised tunnels, and large openings beneath structures point toward different animals. Use size, location, and pattern together.
